The Cymbal Abaca pendant light by dBodhi draws inspiration from the “Topi caping pak tani”, a traditional Indonesian hat, as well as the shape of a cymbal. Its rattan frame is wrapped in abaca bark, worked to create a rustic woven appearance. This construction highlights a wide, flared silhouette that is instantly recognisable.

The abaca covering helps diffuse a warm light while emphasising the texture of the fixture. Its natural beige tones complement the combination of rattan and plant fibre. Part of the Cymbal collection, this pendant light is available in several configurations, each retaining its profile inspired by traditional Asian sun hats.
