How to choose a wardrobe suited to your clothes and the room?

The wardrobe must offer coherent interior organization without saturating the room. Its height and depth determine the useful volume, while the type of doors and interior fittings directly influence the comfort of use.

Inventory clothes and accessories

Estimate the length of wardrobe necessary for shirts, dresses or coats, then the number of shelves for folded laundry. Interior drawers make it easy to store small accessories. Leave room for future needs.

Measure width, height and depth

Check ceiling height, plinths and mounting space. Sufficient depth avoids compressing the hangers. Also measure the passage between the wardrobe and the bed as well as access to sockets and switches.

Choose the doors

Hinged doors offer a wide view of the contents but require a step back. Sliding doors are suitable for narrower passages, with partial opening of the cabinet. Check the quality and maintenance of the rails or hinges.

Organize the interior

Adjustable shelves allow you to modify the configuration. Place heavy items at the bottom and seasonal items at the top. Check the maximum loads and the possibility of adding boxes or dividers without blocking the doors.

Prepare assembly and fixing

A large cabinet is often delivered disassembled. Measure packages, route and space required for assembly. Check the weight, recommended wall mounting, variant, door direction and delivery time.
