Charlottenborg Armchair

Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1936, the Charlottenborg armchair is part of the ICONS collection by Sika-Design. This indoor chair is distinguished by its flowing curves: the back joins the armrests, which in turn merge into the lower part of the chair.

Curves shaped in rattan

Handcrafted by skilled wicker artisans, its natural Indonesian rattan frame showcases precise bending and binding work. The contrast between the open lines of the frame and the upholstered surfaces gives the armchair a distinctive presence without visually weighing down the space.

Its low seat and enveloping silhouette place it firmly within the world of lounge furniture. The design is also revealed in profile, where the curves of the back and base form a continuous whole.

Seating for relaxing spaces

Charlottenborg features a fixed upholstered seat and a loose back cushion. The textile finish depends on the chosen configuration. It fits naturally into a living room, beside a bookcase or in an indoor reception area, and is also suitable for hotel and restaurant interiors.
