A low armchair inspired by origami
Created by Marc Sadler for Slide, the Kami Ichi armchair draws inspiration from origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Its design is based on a succession of folds and cut-outs that add depth to its silhouette. This approach reflects a search for balance between abstraction and simplicity of line.
Kami Ichi belongs to a collection entirely inspired by this ancient Japanese art. Its low shape and geometric lines allow it to blend into indoor or outdoor spaces. The various available configurations offer several finish and equipment options without altering the model's graphic identity. The seat therefore retains the visual characteristics that define the collection: angular volumes, a clean design and a construction reminiscent of a folded sheet of paper.
