A rustic presence for outdoor dining

The Colonial table by Sika-Design combines a rectangular slatted tabletop with an X-shaped base joined by a crossbar. Designed for outdoor dining, it expresses its character through substantial sections and clearly visible construction.

The solid teak lends substance to this understated silhouette. The intersecting lines of the base contrast with the horizontal tabletop: a balance that works equally well with woven garden chairs and seating with more streamlined shapes.

A tabletop suited to outdoor living

The slats are arranged with small gaps to allow the wood to expand and contract with changing weather conditions. Teak's natural oil content contributes to its weather resistance.

The wood used comes from Indonesian plantations and bears the Indonesian Legal Wood label, overseen by the country's authorities. As it is exposed to sun and rain, the teak develops a patina: this natural evolution becomes part of the table's life in the garden or on a terrace.
