Belladonna Franco Albini sofa with cushion

Designed by Franco Albini and Franca Helg in 1951, the Belladonna sofa belongs to the ICONS collection by Sika-Design. Its architecture is distinguished by a seat raised on a base, giving the piece a sculptural presence while revealing the craftsmanship of its frame.

A silhouette built in rattan

Handcrafted by skilled wicker artisans, Belladonna is made from natural Indonesian rattan. The enveloping curves and the rhythm of the rattan elements create an open design in which the back, seat and base echo one another.

The base is a central element of this composition: it visually lifts the seat away from the floor and emphasises its volume. This approach to showcasing the construction gives the sofa its character, equally apparent from the front and the side.

A sofa for indoor spaces

Belladonna is intended for a living room, enclosed veranda or holiday home. A seat cushion is included, while back cushions can accompany the sofa depending on the chosen configuration. The textile elements complement the open frame and help integrate this expressive piece into a space dedicated to relaxation.
