Wewood brings together the precision of contemporary design and the tradition of Portuguese joinery. An independent family company, it develops furniture in Portugal made predominantly from solid oak or walnut.

From family workshop to design brand
The company developed under the name Móveis Carlos Alfredo before the second generation launched Wewood in 2012, after four years of preparation. The brand remains family-owned and independent. It maintains production in Portugal, where expertise passed from master to apprentice accompanies the use of modern precision machinery.
This alliance avoids an artificial opposition between craftsmanship and technology. Joints and finishes require the eye and hand, while contemporary tools help maintain the accuracy of the forms. Wewood works in small series and develops each piece under an exclusive licence with its designer.

The active range demonstrates remarkable breadth without losing material consistency:
- the Scarpa, Casanova, Radio, Panamá and Mey sideboards organise storage with rhythmically designed fronts;
