Pende AAA672 mask

This majestic Pende AAA672 mask from Versmissen is unique for steeping history in an ancestral interior. It originated in Congo in the middle of the 20th century. This mask is made entirely of wood and measures 33x29x83cm. These masks represent numerous local symbols and now feature a specialized dancer. The performances of this mask were entertaining, but they conveyed morality and supported Pende's faith and politics.
