This 20th-century wooden figurine evokes the aesthetic of a larger Bakongo Nail Fetish figure. Its pose is characterised by raised hands: one leaves a space intended for an arrow, while the other rests on the abdomen. This distinctive posture defines the figure’s entire composition.

The elongated neck is adorned with fabric, a detail that suggests ritual significance. The figure may have been associated with a protective function against illness or harmful spirits, although this interpretation is not presented as certain.
