Sculpture Female Senofo

This exceptional statue, part of the ancestral couple of the Sénoufo people in Côte d'Ivoire, was preserved in a sanctuary. Used during special ceremonies, such as funeral processions, it represents the Ancestor Mother. Adorned with a detailed hairstyle and body markings, her conical breasts symbolize ideal femininity, while her long arms present her as a powerful guardian. This unique piece of natural wood from the 20th century measures 19.5x19x71 cm, capturing the strength and grace of the Senufo tradition.
