Yombe sculpture

This beautifully crafted sculpture seems to be inspired by the power figures created by the Yombe people. It is distinguished by its uniqueness, as no similar figures have been found. One can imagine that the cavity inside the sculpture was sealed with mirror glass, as was the case with other rare fetish mirror statues of the Yombe people. These statues were designed to provide protection against evil. Measuring 24.5x25.5x52.5 cm and carved from natural wood, this piece embodies the profound art and spirituality of the Yombe culture.
