List of products by brand Alexander Rose
Alexander Rose is a British brand specialising in garden furniture since 1994, with a distinctive starting point: the bench. Its catalogue now combines wood, powder-coated steel and synthetic weave to arrange outdoor dining, relaxation and entertaining areas.
The Flosia selection notably brings together Portofino, San Marino, Monte Carlo and several lines in roble or pine, from bistro sets to modular lounges.
Before modular lounges and sun loungers, there was the bench. The story of Alexander Rose officially began in 1994 around this essential piece of garden furniture. The British brand made it a field of design in its own right, notably introducing a curved backrest and slats designed in 1998 to follow the back more closely.
Starting with outdoor use
A balcony, dining terrace and large garden do not call for the same solutions. The Flosia range reflects this variety: stacking chairs, a folding set for two, bistro tables, extending tables, benches, swing seats, sun loungers and lounge modules. This breadth of formats makes it possible to consider circulation, seating capacity and frequency of use before choosing a collection.
Portofino, a clean line in steel
The Portofino family uses powder-coated steel and favours understated lines. Here it comes in stacking chairs and armchairs, round or square tables, an extending table, a bench and a folding set. This design language is particularly suited to spaces that require furniture that is easy to move or store. Care and protection should be adapted to the instructions on each product page.
The texture of weaving
San Marino and Monte Carlo explore synthetic weaving in armchairs, sofas, tables and sun loungers. Round or square backs, open-weave fibres, cushions and glass tops create more enveloping atmospheres. This is not natural rattan: the exact nature of the fibres and care instructions must be reviewed for each model.
Wood, the historic common thread
- Broadfield, Bengal, Turnberry and St George offer armchairs and benches, notably in roble.
- Tivoli extends wood into dining, sun lounging and modular lounge furniture.
- Malu covers picnic tables and benches in pine.
- Folding or multi-position models address very practical space and comfort requirements.
Alexander Rose states that all its wood furniture is FSC® certified. This information concerns the wooden elements; it must not be extended to metal structures, cushions, fibres or other components. Roble, pine and other woods also change with exposure: cleaning, protection and maintenance affect their appearance over time.
Creating a true outdoor room
The brand has moved from the standalone bench to a broader vision of the “outdoor room”. To keep an arrangement consistent, seating height, table dimensions, materials and storage requirements can be coordinated rather than trying to make every element uniform. The selection available at Flosia offers several entry points into this world without claiming to represent every Alexander Rose collection.
