List of products by brand it's about RoMi
A city, a light, a silhouette: it's about RoMi transforms its urban inspirations into expressive lamps. Founded in Amsterdam in 1993, the brand offers pendant lights, wall lights, floor lamps, ceiling lights and table lamps named after destinations on Flosia.
Metal, glass, cotton, wood, bamboo or marble appear depending on the model, creating very different atmospheres.
London on a console, Oslo above the table, Amsterdam beside the sofa: at it's about RoMi, geography becomes a language of light. The brand was founded in 1993 in a small Amsterdam attic and designs its “Citylights” by observing cities, their architecture and their rhythm. Each name evokes an atmosphere rather than a literal destination.
Creating a map of light
The Flosia selection makes it possible to work with several heights in the same room. Oslo, Amsterdam, Amazon and Brussels pendant lights structure the dining area and, depending on the product, are available with several shades. Cambridge, Milano, Marseille and Zurich floor lamps introduce vertical lighting near a seat. Table lamps complement a desk, bedside table or console, while Madrid, Nashville, Florence and Amsterdam wall lights free up furniture surfaces.
From graphic lines to material
The designs remain simple but are distinctive enough to contribute to the interior architecture. Metal often defines the structure; clear glass allows the eye to travel through; cotton, wood, bamboo, linen or marble feature only on the models that specify them. The Athens lamp thus combines marble and glass in certain versions, while Andes showcases bamboo and linen, and Darwin brings wood and iron together.
- To focus attention: a pendant light with several arms or shades creates a visual centre.
- To add rhythm: articulated wall lights or those with a reading light direct the illumination.
- To add nuance: a table lamp introduces a lower, more intimate light source.
- To balance: a floor lamp complements the volume of the furniture without occupying the table.
Amsterdam as the starting point
The collections blend European references with more distant horizons: Boston, Miami, Marrakech, Saigon, Vancouver and Amazon. This consistent naming system gives the whole its cosmopolitan identity without imposing a single style. One room may seek the transparency of glass, while another favours the warmth of a textile shade or the clarity of a metal arm.
The brand also states that it plants one tree for every lamp sold through its “One Lamp, One Tree” programme. This mechanism does not mean that all lamps share the same materials. To choose accurately, compare the light source, dimensions, direction, number of light points and composition stated on each product page.
